Blake 11 Admissions via the APS

Occur when patients arrive after 6pm, either scheduled and unscheduled.

1. Proceed with regular medical clearance and insurance authorization as above.

2. Call Blake 11 (49110) to reserve bed and clear admission with RN staff.

3. Call admitting (63390) to reserve a bed. Do this early so orders can be entered!

4. Follow CAS Blake 11 admission template. If patient is not yet in the computer, orders can be entered as a “Pre-admission” order set.

5. Call Blake 11 prior to transfer upstairs. Patient should be accompanied by security for transport.
